Kitchen project

A selection of the jams and chutneys available from Elm Tree FarmLast year Elm Tree Farm was lucky enough to receive a grant from Bristol Green Capital funds to refurbish the kitchen in the farmhouse, with the aim of using the surplus we produce on the farm by turning it into jams, chutneys, and preserves.

It also means that we’re now able to teach food hygiene and food preparation skills to our trainees.

This year we’ve had an abundance of apples and tomatoes so we’ve been thinking of lots of imaginative ways of preserving them – apple jelly, tomato and apple chutney, apple leathers, and more.

We now have a select range of preserves available for sale on our stall at St Nicholas Farmers Market and in our Farm shop.

Come and visit us to see the whole range.
