New holiday club for young people with learning disabilities

young person gardening at holiday clubThis summer, Elm Tree Farm is starting a new holiday club for youngsters aged 11-18 years who have learning disabilities and/or autism.

The club will provide an opportunity for children and young people to make friends, try new activities, learn new skills, and build their confidence, but most importantly, to have fun in a safe environment.

A young person looking after the horses at Elm Tree FarmRunning from 25 July to 31 August, 2016, sessions are Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 3.00pm. The cost is £25 per day.

The programme offers a wide range of educational and fun activities which will vary over the six weeks.

From science games such as dying celery, nature activities such as bug hunts, and natural arts and crafts such as creating seed kaleidoscopes, to gardening, painting, mosaics, woodwork, and animal care. There’s something for everyone!
